It is said, hariṁ vinā na mṛtim taranti. One cannot surpass the cycle of birth and death unless one is favored by the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura, as the embodiment of the kṛpa-śakti, mercy potency, of the ocean of great compassion, Śrī Caitanyadeva, bestowed amandodaya-dayā, all-expansive mercy replete with unending goodness. His pastime of perpetually giving delight to bhakti (bhaktivinodana) was to inspire multitude of jīvas to discover their constitutional nature and thus drown them in the bliss of kṛṣṇa-prema...                                                                                                                                http://www.purebhakti.com/resources/ebooks-a-magazines-mainmenu-63/doc_download/564-rays-of-the-harmonist-no-26-saccidananda-srilla-bhaktivinoda-thakura

Bhagavatam 5.18.8 (SP)

oṁ namo bhagavate narasiṁhāya namas tejas-tejase āvir-āvirbhava vajra-nakha vajra-daṁṣṭra karmāśayān randhaya randhaya tamo grasa grasa oṁ svāhā; abhayam abhayam ātmani bhūyiṣṭhā oṁ kṣraum.

I offer my respectful obeisances unto Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva, the source of all power. O my Lord who possesses nails and teeth just like thunderbolts, kindly vanquish our demonlike desires for fruitive activity in this material world. Please appear in our hearts and drive away our ignorance so that by Your mercy we may become fearless in the struggle for existence in this material world.

Bhagavad-gita 7.12 (SNM)

Know that all states of existence: sattvika, rajasika and
tamasika, are manifested by the modes of My material nature.
I am not subject to these modes, for they are all under
the control of My energy.

Bhagavatam 1.1.1

O my Lord, Sri Krishna, son of Vasudeva, O all-pervading Personality of Godhead, I offer my respectful obeisances unto You. I meditate upon Lord Sri Krishna because He is the Absolute Truth and the primeval cause of all causes of the creation, sustenance and destruction of the manifested universes. He is directly and indirectly conscious of all manifestations, and He is independent because there is no other cause beyond Him. It is He only who first imparted the Vedic knowledge unto the heart of Brahmājī, the original living being. By Him even the great sages and demigods are placed into illusion, as one is bewildered by the illusory representations of water seen in fire, or land seen on water. Only because of Him do the material universes, temporarily manifested by the reactions of the three modes of nature, appear factual, although they are unreal. I therefore meditate upon Him, Lord  Sri Krishna  who is eternally existent in the transcendental abode, which is forever free from the illusory representations of the material world. I meditate upon Him, for He is the Absolute Truth.

Bhagavatam 1.8.26

“My Lord, Your Lordship can easily be approached, but only by those who are materially exhausted. One who is on the path of material progress, trying to improve himself with respectable parentage, great opulence, high education, and bodily beauty, cannot approach You with sincere feeling.”
