SRILA GURUDEVA ON
COMMUNITY

The management in Badger, America
(New Braja) has established a school for children of
devotees. Why can’t it be done here in Australia as
well? I want the children here to be educated in
Vaisnavism, right from the beginning, just as in Badger. A
very good school is being run there. There is no harm if
there are no qualified teachers here, though I know that
some teachers here are more qualified than the teachers in
government schools. You must start a school.
We will also help you. I have many senior male
devotees who are very qualified, and my daughters are also
very qualified. So make a school for children. Considering
that after some time qualified teachers will come, just as
in Badger. Don’t delay. All children should be
well-educated.
Don’t criticize each other, and don’t
quarrel. Make a very beautiful community here, an ideal
place where all Vaisnavas can come. Don’t block anyone
from coming. Always open your door.
We have come to tell you that our
religion is prema. It has been written about Sri Caitanya
Mahaprabhu, “Krsna-prema-pradayate.” If you are
in this line but are engaged in quarreling, then where is
that prema? Charity begins from home. First be trained in
prema. If you have no prema for all living beings, how can
you have prema for Mahaprabhu, Nityananda Prabhu and Radha
and Krsna Conjugal? In fact, you should have prema for
trees, creepers, worms, and other animals as well. Be
careful to remain always in the line of Sri Rupa Gosvami
and follow his instructions.
